Weekly Report #1 Opening Moves: The Beginning of My ISM Journey (8/18/2025 - 8/25/2025)
The first two weeks of ISM have been exciting and significant. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to my classmates discuss their backgrounds, passions, and aspirations in our introductory speeches. It helped me learn more about their personalities and potential career paths. I also finished my back wall poster, which was a creative and enjoyable way to give the classroom a more unique feel. The etiquette meal on August 27th is one occasion I am particularly excited for. I think it will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with classmates in a new environment and meet more people in ISM, especially those I haven’t spoken to as much yet. Furthermore, I began contacting couple of professors at nearby universities regarding serving as my mentor. One of the most beneficial aspects of ISM, I know, will be finding a mentor, and I can’t wait to hopefully start building that relationship soon.
The beginning of junior year has been hectic but fun. So far, I’ve enjoyed my classes, particularly AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, and Psychology. I’m excited to watch how the remainder of the year plays out, and we are already getting ready for some tests. All things considered, these first two weeks have been fantastic, and I’m looking forward to the remainder of my junior year and what lies ahead in ISM.
