Week 12: Fischer vs. Spassky, Me vs. Week

Weekly Report #12 Week 12: From Fischer vs. Spassky to Me vs. the Week (11/03/2025-11/10/2025)

This week was another busy one filled with homework assignments and extracurricular activities that had taken a tremendous amount of my time. Like every junior, I had a couple of tests—with an AP US History test on Thursday, an AP Calculus BC summative assessment, Physics C homework, and presentations needed to be made for another one of my classes. I also had a Physics C unit test over Linear Momentum on Monday (11/10), which I had utilized Sunday and a bit of Saturday studying for. I didn’t get a chance to focus too much on my hobbies, but I still managed to play bullet chess on Sunday afternoon (11/09/2025) after I completed my daily tasks for the day. My friends and I had planned to play football together on Friday, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend due to me being sick and bedridden. However, it was not all that bad since I got to have amazing homemade tomato and chicken noodle soup with bread and also kitchari (an Indian rice and lentil dish typically eaten when sick) with purified butter. A highlight for the week was the fact that I got the opportunity to have amazing homemade soups made by my mom, and the low part was the fact that I had gotten sick, resulting in me missing school on Friday.

For ISM, on Wednesday, we performed the research speeches about our topic, progress in ISM, our finalized original work, and interviews, being one of the many items, and I felt that it was great since it acts as a stepping stone towards the final presentation night, where we would have to talk for likely twice or even thrice the time. Additionally, I have been continuing to work on my original work and am still in the midst of researching an abundance of scientific articles regarding tumor-on-a-chip technology that would provide me with a great fundamental foundation from which I can then progress forward and develop the research question and find available data online, and even create a tumor-on-a-chip prototype on CAD technology with my suggested changes. I have also worked out a plan for the next 5 weeks or so for how I will develop the research paper and the prototype, and what I will be needing to do each week. I am going to continue to try to get more interviews with professors at nearby universities and send out more emails to them.
