Week 20: Strategic Recovery

Weekly Report #20 Week 20: Strategic Recovery and Continued Progress (1/26/2026-1/31/2026)

This week was spent mostly since I caught the cold on Wednesday and spent the days off from school due to the winter weather break, taking time to get better. Earlier in the week, however, the majority of the time was spent finishing up Summer program applications and getting the remainder of the schoolwork done, particularly focusing on enhancing my AP Seminar presentation, since we will present it for submission to the College Board on Tuesday. I spent time catching up on schoolwork for AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, and AP US History after missing school due to illness.

For ISM, since the showcase was unfortunately postponed due to winter weather, I continued tweaking and adding changes to my speech (refining my introduction and conclusion to make my presentation more engaging and memorable) and to my props (fixing my Original work binder and updating it with my corrected Research paper). Additionally, I rehearsed my speech for Thursday, looked at possible questions I might face, practiced them using the slideshow we were given, and prepared concise, clear responses related to my research and original work. I also made an outline for my Original Work speech, which we have coming up soon. I also touched on a couple of things on my Poster. I also reached out to my mentor to coordinate next steps and receive feedback on upcoming deliverables.
