Weekly Report #21 Week 21: (2/2/2026-2/9/2026)
This week was spent mostly competing for robotics as well as focusing on academics especially since I felt a lot better physically from the last week when I was sick. This week I continued working on summer program applications like the previous weeks and ensuring that I have them completed before their deadline in late February. Also I spent the remainder of the week getting my schoolwork done, particularly focusing on studying for AP Calculus BC since we have a test over Unit 8 Applications of Integration. I also spent some time on Sunday finishing the Outliers book along with finishing my presentation for my AP Language class and getting mastering physics done for Electric fields for AP Physics E&M. Additionally, over the weekend I spent my time competing for Robotics where I acted as a Human player with another teammate. Our team - Wolverine Robotics #33791 - ended up making Semi-regionals along with getting the Control Award which is given to teams who display in their robot an innovative, reliable, and efficient software and sensor usage. We will be competing again in the coming weekend and hopefully advance further within the competition.
For ISM, I made changes to my presentation that I had prepared three months ago for research speeches at the library and added more slides following the Original Work Presentation attached on Canvas and reduced the amount of text on each slide and finalized my outline for the presentation which we have on the 10th. Additionally, I had a mentor visit that happened on Thursday where me and my mentor discussed the development of my Final product and along with me inquired about certain questions that I had for him. Dr. Bagnato, my mentor, was kind enough to give me a presentation with actual cases of patients who have been treated with Photodynamic therapy which is something that I am now going to integrate within the Research Showcase that we will have - with me adding these photos either to my poster or displaying it when I do give my presentation and explaining it. I am continuing to do the research assessments for final products weekly along with following through with the mentor log when I do meet with my mentor.
Closing this chapter, opening the next.
